Privacy Policy

Who this covers

This policy applies to Frontend Beauty (frontend.beauty), including this website, browser tools, and any mobile or desktop apps we publish under the same name (together, the “Services”).

The short version

• No accounts. You do not sign up, and we do not issue user IDs.
• We do not upload, host, or store your files, recordings, notes, or tool input on our servers.
• Your content lives on the device you are using (memory, local storage, or the app’s private storage).
• The website may send anonymous page-view analytics to Google Analytics. That is usage data, not your content.
• We do not sell your personal information.

What we do not collect

We do not collect or store:

• Names, emails, phone numbers, or account credentials
• Payment information (the Services are free)
• The text, files, JSON, tokens, images, or video you put into our tools
• Screen recordings, microphone audio, or camera video
• Quiz answers, playground code, or practice progress on our servers

There is no user database. If you never visit the website, we have nothing about you. If you use only an offline-capable app or a client-side tool, your work never leaves that device through us.

Information that stays on your device

The Services are built to run locally. Depending on which product you use, the following may be stored only on your device:

• Tool input and output — JSON, regex, JWTs, colors, timestamps, markdown, and similar data you paste or generate.
• Media — screen, window, or tab captures, microphone audio, and webcam video stay in memory or IndexedDB in that browser until you download or delete them.
• Playground and practice — editor contents (including share hashes in the URL), quiz selections, and mock-interview progress in local or session storage.
• Preferences — theme (light/dark) and tool settings such as last-used microphone or camera.
• App data — any files or settings our apps keep in the operating system’s on-device storage for that app.

Clearing site data, uninstalling an app, switching browsers or profiles, or using a private window will remove this data. We cannot recover it. Other devices will not see it unless you copy it there yourself.

Device permissions

Some tools and apps ask the system for permission. We use each permission only for the feature you turned on, and only on the device:

• Screen / display capture — to record a screen, window, or tab you pick.
• Microphone — to mix your voice into a recording you start.
• Camera — to show an optional webcam overlay in a recording.
• Photos / files / storage — to let you save or open a file you choose.

You can deny or later revoke these permissions in the browser or system settings. We do not get a copy of that media on our servers.

Information collected automatically

When you load this website, our host (currently Vercel) receives standard request logs such as IP address, user agent, referrer, and the URL requested. Hosts keep these logs for operations and abuse prevention. We do not use them to build user profiles.

The website may also load Google Analytics 4 when a measurement ID is configured. That script can receive:

• Page path, title, and approximate location of the visit
• Device and browser type
• High-level content labels (topic, content type) so we know which guides are useful

IP anonymization is enabled. We do not send your tool input, recordings, or practice answers to Analytics. Analytics does not load on some pages (for example, 404) and does not load in local development when no measurement ID is set.

Google’s own processing is described in theGoogle Privacy Policy. You can limit Analytics with browser settings, tracking-protection extensions, orGoogle’s opt-out add-on.

Native apps, if they do not embed this website, do not send this Analytics traffic unless a given app’s listing or in-app notice says otherwise.

Cookies and similar storage

We do not set advertising cookies. The site may use:

• First-party local storage for theme and tool settings
• Session storage for in-progress practice sessions
• IndexedDB for large local files such as unsaved recordings
• Cookies that Google Analytics may set if Analytics is enabled

How we share information

We do not sell personal information. We do not share your content with advertisers.

The only third parties that may see limited technical data are:

• Hosting / CDN — to deliver the site (request logs as above).
• Google Analytics — anonymous usage of the website, when enabled.

We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the Services from abuse. In practice we hold almost no personal data to disclose.

Children

The Services are for a general audience of developers and learners. They are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through a channel we control, contact us and we will delete anything we can.

Your choices and rights

• Do not grant camera, microphone, or screen permissions if you do not want those features.
• Clear site data or uninstall an app to delete on-device information.
• Use a tracking-protection browser or the Analytics opt-out if you prefer not to be counted in website stats.

Depending on where you live (for example under GDPR or CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal information, or to object to certain processing. Because we do not keep a user database, there is typically nothing for us to access or delete beyond host logs we do not control at a per-person level. Contact us and we will help with whatever we can.

Security

The website is served over HTTPS. Client-side tools process data in your browser or app process. No security measure is perfect. Do not paste secrets into a shared device, and treat playground share URLs as public if you send them to someone.

Changes

We may update this policy when the Services change. The “Last updated” date at the top will change. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
